So why is it even being considered?

To JP Fish, do you really think that Obama and the Democrats really care what the American people want? The health care bill, if passed, will give them a bigger government and that will give them more power and gaining power is the name of their game.

The Mayo Clinic, which Obama cites as a model for cost-cutting measures, called the Medicare payment model proposed by Congress a "catastrophe."

The new test of liberal political ideology seems to be, not whether you favor Obama's health care plan, but how long it takes you to realize what a disaster it is.

The American people were, as usual, first out of the gate to demonstrate their common-sense conservatism. Although a slim majority voted for Obama in November, a growing preponderance has been telling pollsters they disapprove of the President and his handling of health care. On Sunday, Rasmussen reported that Obama had reached a new low in their Presidential Approval Index, with health care one of his lowest-rated issues.

Like a teacher indulging a failing student's pleas to find a way to give him extra points on his test, the Congressional Budget Office has spent all summer admonishing Obama for presenting legislation that will be more expensive than advertised, produce no savings, and yield expanding and unsustainable deficits for the next 10 years. "Now, Barry, I've already given you all the credit I can-next time you'll just have to try harder."

What do our new indentured slaves do? How did they get that way? Do they even know they are bound to a hidden master?

The hidden master is hiding in plain sight. He (she) lives in the neighborhood. The slaves love their master. Why? Because he continues to feed them and provide freebies of all kinds - free housing, food (stamps), money for TVs, cars, special education, social development, etc., etc.

The new master has a new name - politician. He provides everything the slave can want and the slave does not even have to work. The new master wants as many of these slaves as he can have dependent on him because they keep him in power. He makes more money, has greater power, unlimited health care and fantastic freebies. In fact the slaves don't care as long as they get theirs.

Each time one of those who votes for a politician because he is going to get something "free" has more of his personal initiative stolen and becomes more indentured. They do not understand it is not free.

Our inalienable rights, guaranteed by the United States Constitution, have steadily become alienable. The actions of Congress and the States are restricting our freedom.

In many states, you can be ticketed for not having a seat belt fastened when driving a vehicle or not wearing a helmet operating a motorcycle and riding a bicycle.

There are federal and state laws preventing smoking in certain prescribed areas. There are a multitude of rules and regulations dictating how businesses, professions, and manufacturing can be managed.

Undeniably, some of these laws, such as requiring seat belts and helmets, are logical measures to lessen injuries if there are accidents. Non-the-less, if some people are foolish enough not to take these precautions, it is their constitutional right to make those choices. This philosophy of "the government knows what is best for you" leads to complete control of our lives. Big Brother telling us what to do is a Dictatorship not a Democracy.
The rules were simple, but effective, when we pre-boomers were growing up. "Yes," meant "yes." "No," meant "no." "I'll think about it" was a qualified "maybe" that leaned toward "no" but could be "yes," depending on your actions and attitude leading up to dad's final answer. And, pushing for an immediate decision resulted in a certain "no." Have politicians forgotten these basic childhood lessons?

The public, in general, has shown its lack of enthusiasm for continued spending and the consolidation of more parts of our economy to be under government control. This is because we realize, from experience, that this combination will result in higher taxes. The polls, Town Hall meetings and the growing number of signatures on an endless number of petitions clearly indicate the people are saying "no."
When you are out on the water be courteous. The waterways are similar to highways, and there are certain rules and regulations you must follow in order to be safe. You need to pay attention to others who are around you. So make sure that you are aware of any other fishermen, swimmers and, of course, boats. If there are any notices or warning signs where you are fishing take note.
If you are a fishing enthusiast but have never experienced the thrill of big game fishing, then fishing for bluefin tuna should be your entree into this exciting sport. Bluefin tuna is a delicacy and highly prized by sushi connoisseurs and should be on the list of “must catch” for every big-game angler.

The bluefin is one of the swiftest and most elusive fish you’ll every attempt to catch. Their speed and size is what make the bluefin popular among experienced anglers. Bluefin tuna weighing almost 1000 pounds have been caught in Ireland. Smaller size bluefin tuna are also commonly captured.
When you mention fly fishing to people, many times they think you are fishing exclusively for trout. However, there are some amazing spots you can fly fish for trophy sized bass as well. Both largemouth and smallmouth bass abound in rivers and lakes, so why not try your hand fly fishing for bass?

Many experienced fly fishermen report that bass fly fishing can be extremely challenging as well as extremely satisfying. Bass have larger mouths than trout, so your choice of lures is much more diverse. They strike hard and fight strong, so when you are fly fishing for bass, expect to be exhilarated by the fight in these guys!
When you have had one of those "take this job and shove it" days, try this.

On your way home after work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the section where they have thermometers. You will need to purchase a rectal thermometer made by Q-TIP. Be very sure that you get this brand.

When you get home, lock your doors, draw the drapes, and disconnect the phone so you will not be disturbed during your therapy. Change to very comfortable clothing, such as a sweat suit and lie down on your bed.

Open the package containing the thermometer and remove the thermometer and carefully place it on the bedside table so that it will not become chipped or broken.

Take the written material that accompanies the thermometer and as you read it you will notice in small print the statement that "every rectal thermometer made by Q-Tip is PERSONALLY tested."

Now close your eyes and say out loud five times, " I am so glad that I do not work in quality control at the Q-Tip Company."
