I know several french people that I like and I am sure that France is filled with good people. I just don't like the governments that they keep electing.

I totally agree with you. When I went to France, I came across nothing but warm and friendly people that loved Americans. It didn't hurt that I tried to speak their language. I was horrified at some Americans in restaurants that spoke to their waiters like idiots because they didn't speak English! No wonder they call us the ugly Americans! We expect people to speak English in our country. Why wouldn't we be expected to speak the language of a country we are visiting! I loved France. If you can overcome the politics, it's a great place to visit!
