As long as China is a part of the six party talks, nothing will be done diplomaticly to stop North Korea. It seems that China is only taking part in the talks in order to stall America and Japan and to keep them from taking any real action.

Talk, talk, talk, complain and then complain some more, but don't allow any of your so called partners to take any action against North Korea. China has followed the foregoing dictates for years and they have worked. North Korea is still going ahead with it's weapons development and China is still stalling us from doing anything. America is, in the meantime, still calling China a partner and still letting China control what goes on over there.

Isn't is about time that we learned China is not our friend, allie or partner.

China's foreign minister called for flexibility to restart international talks on North Korea's nuclear weapons, saying a "cool-headed" approach was necessary.

In a speech at the UN General Assembly meeting on Friday, China's foreign minister, Li Zhaoxing, said

As long as we count on countries like China and Russia to assist in controlling North Korea, we will fail. Those two countries will not allow any meaningful action to be taken against North Korea. We can debate in the United Nations Security Council and in the 'Six Party Talks' all we want, but nothing will be done.

If China really wanted to help solve the nuclear arms issues of N. Korea, there is no reason that they couldn't play hardball with North Korea and get them to stop testing nuclear weapons. However, some speculate that China has not bothered to confront North Korea under such harsh terms because they realize it is a thorn in the side of the United States military and it keeps us busy.

It would be unfortunate if China hasn't put forth their effort because they like to see the United States of America spend lots of money dealing with the North Korea problem. If China is trying to get the United States bogged down in Asia, then one has to ask why the United States of America has the Chinese as their number one trading partner.

Some ask if China is a friend or foe; and while it is true that China does what's best for China and not necessarily for any other nation, one could obviously see that that China is not an ally of the United States, merely a trading partner.

In this case we should treat them as a trading partner, and not an ally and kick their 6000 spies out of our nation, and clamp down on poisonous dog food, baby food, and toothpaste. In fact, anything coming from China that does not meet our standards, well we ought to have those ships completely turned around and sail back home to their mainland.
